  • Rush on whether to buy or borrow some baby gear and clothes
  • Keep your newborn’s clothes hygiene
  • Do not buy bunches of clothes as your junior can turn whoppers in a few days, at such instances you have to exchange those tiny clothes
  • Build up a nursery
  • Make sure your home is safe for your infant
  • Be ready with the medicinal stock i.e. First Aid Kit
  • Stock the freezer
  • Arrange your postpartum schedule
  • Choose a great baby doctor
  • Buy some gowns or night wears as anytime your newborn can ask for breastfeeding

Things to do

  • Eat healthily: Till now, you might have an idea that so much development is taking place inside you, though, the requirements of essentials nutrients are going to be fulfilled by you itself. Thus, it is much important to have a healthy diet that assists you and the requirements of your baby.
  • Track baby’s movement: There are several cases in which the baby did not respond and unfortunately you get the news that your baby is no more inside you, well, this is one of the worst situations in the life of a woman. While keeping the track will inform you about your baby so that you could come to know about any queries for the same.
  • Read up on baby care: As soon as the infant is born, the growth starts immediately and you would wonder your small infant has turned into junior. Though you won’t be having much time after birth, so I advise you to read up on baby care for your better preparation.
  • Talk to your baby: According to the doctors, it is said that baby can hear when a woman enters the third trimester of pregnancy. If you talk to your baby it will develop language skills, and for sure your baby would like to hear from you. Many of the times it may happen that you won’t be having a word to talk at such instances start preferring books. This is one of the beneficial activities in the third trimester to be done.
  •  Be prepared for upcoming labor: You don’t know exactly when the labor is going to increase and create a problem for you. Things to avoid

  • Lifting: It is considered as one of the danger signs of pregnancy in the third trimester. All you need to do is strictly avoid lifting any things that are heavy whether think twice before lifting anything. It may occur you may have a toddler already, but then also do not carry them. As it may cause you severe back pain, and raises many other risks.
  • Traveling or sitting for a long period: Such conditions are uncomfortable for a pregnant woman. Anyhow you have to avoid yourself putting in such conditions. It is a must to stretch your body after some time that assists in proper blood circulation to the baby.
  • High heels: Avoid wearing high heels like no one guarantees your comfort in those pointed attires rather opt for flat slippers and shoes.
  • High altitudes: Oxygen supply gets reduced in high altitudes, thus, the oxygen supply required to you and baby decreases which led to uncertainties.

Food to eat

The food you consume is the only source to provide your baby with all the essential nutrients. Somehow consuming an appropriate diet is the most important step to be taken. Further, food consumption during the 3rd trimester should be rich in iron, protein, DHA, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, Vitamin C, B6, and B12, and so much more. You must be wondering now which the food that contains all these in them are.

  •  Fruits and vegetables
  • Juices
  • Milk, Buttermilk, and curd
  •  Healthy grains like wheat, cereals, dal, rice, etc.

It is compulsory to not miss any of the diets anytime. Moreover, do not consume your food together keep your mouth munching throughout the day.

Food to avoid

Avoid consuming the following:

  • Eating salty food will let you enjoy but not to your baby, as it doesn’t match the criteria of essentials.  Thus, stop consuming salty foods like potato chips and fries, and so on.
  • Raw vegetables
  • Spicy food
  • Meat and marine foods
  • Smoking and drinking
